The meeting will be held at the DeVos Place convention center and it is organized by the Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies (CASS), which includes:
Collaboration among disciplines is critical to address common problems, whether in wetlands, streams, lakes, or oceans, and to study these problems from an ecosystem perspective. Collaboration is also necessary to conduct translational research that delivers actionable results which support science-based solutions.
Students and Early Career Professionals: Apply for a Travel Award
The Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation (CERF) provides travel awards to support students and early career members attending and presenting at JASM 2022. Students and early career professionals in need of financial assistance to attend the 2022 conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, may request support from the CERF’s William E. Odum/Scott Nixon Memorial Award. Awards typically range from $300 to $400 per person. Student/Early Career Travel Awards are strictly to offset JASM 2022 expenses such as registration, technology/equipment, travel, and/or childcare for attendance. Students are encouraged to use this award as leverage to gain additional support from their academic department or employer.
